One Class At a Time Students take one class at a time. This allows students to focus on one subject at a time. Classes last from five to six weeks, and each class builds on the previous one. This enables students to master one subject before moving on to the next, and also allows for students to apply what they learn in one class to the following. Classes are team focused. Each individual is assigned to a team of three to five students who meet weekly to discuss lecture material and prepare assignments. In addition, applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or one that is a candidate for accreditation. A comparable degree from a recognized institution outside of the United States is also acceptable. University of Phoenix requires applicants to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and at least three years of significant work experience.
